The brat firefly

Oh Lil firefly, don’t you shy
Like the greenery of forests, the gardener is "The One"
No tension, no thoughts, no regrets
The fiery fly fearlessly.

The fearless child of the omnipresent within
She flies intoxicated in the air of pride
She is blessed in the air of freedom
Beyond the clouds, beyond yonder valleys
The dirty 'she' in the dirty water swashing all around

She is adored, though she is abhorred
The darned girl is flying a lot
She is mad, she is a brat
Still she brings smile and winks

No control, no rules
All the fire with swaying wind
The heart flies with the wings
Wondering nothing, just nothing….

Fly Away

It happens many a times that I feel dejected and want to fly away from the present. Similar feelings are portrayed in the poetry below....

O bird’ soul fly high, fly away
Spread your wings to the other shores,
Nothing is left in this garden of mine except strife
Fly away to the new shores which springs new life.

There is neither a small twig nor a bud left
A mad storm of sadness,
Blew away all happiness from hither
Only thing left is the unheard swoon.

I shied away to sing the new songs of life
With you O’ my soul,
The songs were transformed into the tears
O’ soul fly away to the spring of new shores
For the hope floats there…….

The evening by the gateway....

The big monument stood still on the corner stone,
While the boats glided past through the shattering sea foam,
The rush of the people around the stoned path,
Birds on the window sill of the gable,
Untouched by human hustle and bustle.

The stampede of people filled air with a strange noise,
To add to it was the cracking sound of the waves,
the small street traders selling there wares,
Beggars aloud asking for their own share.

A haunting sound heard just than,
it was a trumpet played by a blind soul.
Music so melodious fills my heart with a strange call.
An old couple walking hand and hand,
Balloon man treading through the madding crowd.
A hooligan around with a cigarette in hand.
A family happy with joy and two friends riding bike ahoy!

The monument stood there witnessing this all
Dome above the castle,
Birds were there cozying themselves,
Nothing but there own care,
Snatching even each others share.

On the other side stood a lone mountain,
A lone lighthouse in all,
Big ships and small one too hooting along,
But the monument stood still,
Witnessing all this, following no trail.

Sun smoothened out,
Giving sharpened edges of moon to rise,
In the sky above, spreading its serene divine light.

The sea below me was not so clear
Reminded me of something,
Reminded me of something,
But the monument stood still,
The birds still on the gable sill,

The waves made a sweet song,
Lamps around made the place so bright,
But the monument stood still
Like the catalyst between nature and city drill.
